Happy Friday fellow book nerds! As always, I hope you had a fantastic week. 🙂 If you saw my review of Throne of Glass, then you know that I have in the process of marathoning the series (at least the books that are currently out) and I debated whether or not I wanted to post my review of Crown of Midnight today but decided to stick to the normal schedule so that will be up next Wednesday. 🙂 So I decided to post another poem today because I felt like it has been a while since I shared one with you all. This is just a quick one I wrote and I hope you like it. ❤
The Dance
She kept to herself
Only letting them see
The darkness around her
For she knew,
That a small bit of light,
Just might diminish
If one got too close.
But he knew,
The music was alive
In her soul
Begging her,
To dance.
So she danced;
As though none watched
But of course,
He did.
He could see,
The light within her
Silently begging
To be let out.
So she danced
In the dark
Letting the light thrive;
If only for a moment.
Before she let the darkness,
Consume her once again.
As always,
Read. Write. Create.
Mandi ❤
